This morning both our babies had ultrasounds to check their brains for bleeding. When they are this little, the veins in their heads are very delicate and can rupture. We should know the results by the end of the day and I will post them at the end of this blog entry when we know more.
Lilah also had an Eco done this morning. They have confirmed there is a murmer in her heart (basically one of the valves is not closing properly). For the next three days she will be on some drugs that might help the valve to close. If the drugs do not work they will have to do surgery to correct it. Please keep her in your prayers. On a brighter side she is already back up to her birth weight and getting close to being done under the bili lights.
Alec is doing good. They are upping his feedings every day. He continues to breathe on his own without assistance. Today he had a very loud case of the hiccups :). He will be under the lights again for a few more days, but his bilirubin numbers continue to drop.
The results are in! Both scans were clear of any bleeds! YAY!
